| Ok, so this is an epic Black Metal band I've been listening to a bit. I noticed they didn't have a thread devoted to them and they deserve one. They're an epic Black Metal band that are originally from Austria. They've got a very atmospheric vibe to them. I don't think I've got a favorite album yet. I've only heard one, but it's very good! The one I did manage to get was 'Outh Bound' it's good though! Its the newest album they've got I think. Hopefully, you're not dissapointed when you hear them! If you've got a heart for Black Metal, I suggest them! |

| These guys aren't for me. I've owned two of their releases for some time now, sampled various others and can't get into them at all. |

| I used to think the same, but after getting the album Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame I decided to give them another chance and listen to all their stuff again. I agree, they can be pretty boring sometimes, with me it depends on my mood. I love to listen to their music when I want to relax or when I read (I mostly read fantasy stuff so it's the ideal combination). My fav albums are Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame (especially the track Farewell) and Oath Bound. |

| Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame is my favourite also, with Minas Morgul, though the keyboard sound is quite horrible, it brings it's own thingie to the athmosphere. They have a new record coming out, can't wait. |

| Summoning are good, but yeah boring after a while. Land of the dead is truly an amazing song though. | |

| I like them for playing strategy or roleplaying games, make a good atmosphere. Are also good when playing Warhammer, if I ever get the time to do that. Not good on its own though, there it just gets boring and stale after a while. So, yeah, best heard when occupied. |

| I got Summoning's discography about 2 years ago now, yeah can't say they quite hit me with a massive presence. They're ok, think I prefer Bal-Sagoth though. | |

| So, anyone else here have theories on what exactly happened to this band around 98 that made them turn from making excellent music to writing looped background music for newgrounds porno flash animations? I'm going with the alien replacement theory where all the band members were replaced with Pod replicants after they all mysteriously died in a bizzarre gardening accident! |
