Testament is an American thrash metal band from Oakland, California, formed in 1983. Testament have 9 studio albums nad 4 live.

Chuck Billy is their leader

Eric Peterson is guitarist

Greg Christian is a bassist

Alex Skolnick is one of my fav guitarmen!!!!

and Paul Bostaph is a best drummer of them all :]

I would recommended The New Order and Souls Of Black to start listen this wonderful band.

Holy fuck, we didn't have a Testament thread. I hang my head in shame.

Souls of Black is my favorite album. Actually one of my all time favorites.

Call me square, but I think they have only one good album and a few selected songs. I like The Legacy a lot. Then there's a few songs off Low that are not so bad. Oh and Into the Pit is a vicious number. The re-recorded version, that is. I felt the first recording was weak. The re-recorded one on First Strike Still Deadly is simply awesome aggressive thrash metal.

This band are GREAT! Easily one of my favorite thrash bands. Chuck Billy is amazing! I don't care what anyone says you've gotta respect the man. The Legacy is my favorite.

Haven't listened much to these guys lately. Spinning Return to the Apocalyptic City EP right now. Their first four + Low is my favorite albums by them.

I love Testament, they kick ass totally! Souls of Black is a great album, my favourite songs are "Face in The Sky", "Practice what you preach" and "The LEgacy".

Their first two albums are great. Any recommendations?

Also, Paul Bostaph played here a while ago, and rumor has it that they (Testament) might be playing here soon!

I would recommend Low, Souls Of Black and Practice What You Preach. Actually Low is my all time fave from them...

Their new album, The Formation of Damnation is pretty good too

Ever since seeing Testament live last weekend I have been on a makor kick. The Gathering is such a great album!!!

Not a lot of love for the Ritual here... it's an awesome album.

The Ritual is a really good album, not just as good as their best ones imo. Electric Crown is one of my fave by them...really great opener to the album.

I like the Ritual. Not their best but still a great album.

Got no reasons why, but I haven't checked out Demonic and The Gathering. I alwys forget about their existence. I'll better pick up at least one of them soon.
Anyway. The band will start recording a new album this summer for a late 2011, early 2012 release. Greeeaat!

Oh dude, Demonic and The Gathering are both two of their heaviest albums ever. He uses that beast fucking scream pretty much totally throughout both albums. The track Legions of the Dead is probably their heaviest ever.

I fucking love Testament. Really cool band though I like the earliest stuff the most. Especially "The Leagacy" album.

Yup, The Legacy is my favorite album, it's the most raw, the most straight up, in your face thrash. His vocals sound the best, especially when he does the shriek.

New album coming out in October. Can't fucking wait!!

On a Testament kick today. 'The Formation of Damantion" is such a great album... I think the new one will be great too.
