probably not. but there is no denying that Bruce is the better frontman, whether you like his voice or not. I dont think they would have been as successful with Di'anno. |

I do. I use to be a raging Maiden fanboy, but have had a massive fallout lately. Never the less: 1. Children of the Damned 2. Infinite Dreams 3. Sign of the Cross 4. Brave New World 5. To Tame a Land 6. Transylvania 7. The Prisoner 8. The Number of the Beast 9. Stranger in a Strange Land 10. Hallowed By Thy Name |

| My first heavy metal band.
I like Di'Anno era albums, but The Number Of The Beast, Piece Of Mind and Powerslave are my favourites.
What do you think about Bayley era? I think it bringed some refreshment to the band. No Prayer For The Dying and Fear Of The Dark(it had potential to be one of the best IM releases ever, it had some greatest IM songs ever like the title song, but it also had a lot of crappy fillers) were quite weak for such band like them. X Factor is maybe the most athospheric and dark album Maiden ever made. It's very good and different cd, but it has to be given enough time to get use to, and Virtual XI is also great, has a lot of marvelous guitar solos.
I liked Brave New World, it's great, but I don't like latest two albums. They're just too long, boring and crappy. |

| They're an extremely profound heavy metal band that's highly influential. Iron Maiden are frickin' metal gods. Yeah, I have their essential compilation, The Number of the Beast and a couple recent albums they dropped (Brave New World and The Dance of Death). My favorite is Number of the Beast. That album is their best, in my opinion. |

I think the Bayley era was refreshing for Iron Maiden, and especially for the songwriting by Steve Harris. Maybe Blaze never felt 100% comfortable in the band cause his voice didn't sound as relaxed as he does on his earlier Wolfsbane albums or the Blaze albums he did later. I like all of the albums the band have done since Bruce returned to the band. Brave New World was prolly a little "safe" both songwriting and production wise, but I think they dared a little more on Dance Of Death and A Matter Of Life and Death. I gave Dance Of Death a spin couple of weeks ago and I think it's their strongest since Seventh Son. Paschendale from that album is still one of my all time faves by the band. | |

| Iron Maiden was my first metal band and used to be my number 1 band for a long time. But I think their last 2 albums are extremely weak. When I listen to Iron Maiden, then I prefer the albums Somewhere In Time and Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son. |

| Is anyone else bothered by live versions of old Di'Anno tracks with Bruce on vocals (specifically "Phantom Of the Opera" or "Wrathchild" and even "Iron Maiden")
I love Bruce as Maiden's front man but listening to some later live cds with the older tracks doesn't feel right sometimes. |

Well it's doesn't bother me, but some Di'Anno songs sound a lot better with him than with Dickinson. But I also think the songs from The X Factor sound better with Blaze then with Bruce, because of Blaze his deep dark voice. |
