| (Don't know if these guys are still DM, but this is according to Wikpedia) O_O NO PESTILENCE THREAD!? Seriously, guys, what is Death Metal without these Dutch legends? Only got the first two albums, but both are highly recommended, especially their second album, "Consuming Impulse". Atheist's bassist Tony Choy is also a current member, just thought that'd make things a little more interesting http://www.myspace.com/pestilenceofficial | |

| I love Spheres but haven't got round to the other albums. Everyone seems to think it's an abortion of an album but I love it. I know it's different to all their other sruff so not sure if I'll like the others as much. |

| The new album is dreadful. I'm not a fan at all of Spheres either, but the first three are stunning albums! Martin Van Drunen's vocals on Consuming Impulse have to be some of the coolest ever recorded! |

| I love Spheres too, damien. It's my first Pestilence album It is without a doubt my favorite album by Pestilence. Personal Energy is hands down my favorite song of all-time by Pestilence. I really really love the album. It's too bad that a lot of people gripe, bitch, moan and complain about it. It is really great progressive death metal.
Oh yes, Consuming Impulse is a death metal masterpiece! Also get Malleus Maleficarum. That one is said to be thrash, but I think it's death metal. Testimony of the Ancients is all right. I'm not really into it that much. I say the first two and Spheres are the best albums to get. As far as Resurrection Macabre goes, I dunno if it's good or not. I only listened to one song off it. I wasn't too impressed by it. I'll have to listen to it again. Perhaps I'll DL it.
So if you wanna get into Pestilence get Consuming Impulse first! | |

| I got Consuming Impulse on good old vinyl. Spheres is a good album as well...they headed for a more progressive direction on that one. | |
