| Awesome Stoner Doom from the UK. http://www.myspace.com/cathedralAlbum recommendations are Forest of Equilibrium, The Carnival Bizarre, The Garden of Unearthly Delights to start out. But they are all very good.

| Awesome band, indeed. I got one question: Is Cathedral the first, or one of the first, Doom Metal bands, which played those long, slow and heavy parts (Forest of Equilibrium) unlike the NWOBHM-influenced bands from the 80's? Oh well, I think of Pagan Altar, but nonetheless my question stays. |

| This band is growing on me constantly. I've had Endtyme for years, but it's not until recently I really started to listen to that album. I got the 1999 reissue of In Memoriam the other day. It's quite good, but I will give it a couple of more spins in the days to come... | |

| I've always liked Cathedral, but goddamn they grow on you. They're definitely one of my top five favorites right now. Anyone who hasn't listened to them is truly missing out on something extraordinary. |

That's sad, Cathedral is so much better than Candlemass, the latter is way overrated imo. |

| only if the bands are equally good. if people are say comparing Autopsy and Job for a Fagboy. I don't care what your taste is, one is obviously better. when it's stuff like Candlemass and Cathedral there isn't a obvious winner, then it can come down to personal taste as to which is better. | |

| Personally, I probably like this band better than Candlemass lately. I guess I just really enjoy the stoner-y aspect of this band aposed to the normal Traditional sound with Candlemass. I dunno though, they're both amazing.
But, anyway, yes this band does REALLY grow on you. Forest of Equilibrum is AMAZING. One of the first doom-related albums I listened too and was in love with that album for a while. |

| The Ethereal Mirror and Forest Of Equilibrium will be re-issued with bonus materials on Dual Disc in June (that format sucks, imo). I guess it will be a treat for us that recently discovered this band... | |

| One of my all time favorites. If I have any, this has to be "The Band" for me. Cathedral has it's load of bad albums, but the good ones outweigh them. Or something. | |
