| I've been to many, but one that stands out as being particularly ,uncomfortably loud(but awesome)was the Grindcrusher UK tour at the Manchester Academy in '89.
Carcass were first up, then Bolt Thrower, then Morbid Angel, then Napalm Death. Every time Shane Embury hit his Bass strings, you could feel the vibrations come through the floor, through the bottom of your feet, and rattle your head on its way out. |

| Testament & some shit opening band that was so fucking loud and obnoxious I wanted to piss on them. Fucking distortion city. It was horrible. Not Testament, the first band. I can't even remember who the fuck they were. It'll come to me eventually. | |

| I recall Severe Toture opening for Vader to have been loud as fuck. It wa a lil uncomfortable, but aside from that I've never been at a concert that was fucking up my ears. I'M alil deaf on one ear anyways, so it would probably take alil more anyways...
Edit: Pissing on people is rad.

| Sunn O))) a few years back.
I had like eight amps right in front of me, although I was off my chops so I didn't remember much except for the ringing I had in my ears for a week afterwards.

| In before Manowar and Motorhead.
The first time I saw Cannibal Corpse it was LOUD. I was right in front too. I'm gonna be seeing Obituary in October. How loud are they?

| First show I went to (local bands). I swear it seemed like the bass was doing more work than the guitar | |

| Santana. Everyone else there was around 70 or something, so I guess the sound guys wanted to make sure the ones who forgot their hearing aids could hear. They were probably stoned, too. Damn hippies. |

Lol, unfortunatly it would have to be Manowar.. but not the good cliched loud, the uncomfortable and wish I was wearing earplugs loud... was hellfest this year, the only time I thought.... this is too loud, right down the front. Hung around for two songs then buggered off to get drunk |

| At a mini-Deathfest in the city with Vader, Grave and Zonaria there was this weird black metal band called Zebediah Crowe (or something) that was the opening act. Annoying (and loud) endless screaming that sounded exactly the same all the time. Horrible. A more enjoyable loud concert was when Napalm Death started playing at Metaltown. Loud as hell as it should be and to busy getting pummeled in the mosh pit to care about my ears. | |

| Not very tr00 but probably Soulfly at the 2001 Ozzfest (I know, I know).
Stood next to the speakers and it ripped apart my little virgin ears. Was just all bass and drums. |

| Kiss in Oslo Spektrum in June 1997. Not the music, but the pyroeffects that was way too power full for the place. | |

| Probably a stoner band Dozer, they played in a small bar an hours drive from here. I felt like my head would pop, too, WAY too loud. I thought the crackling sound came from the amps, nope, it came from my ears. Had an headache of 4 days after the gig. | |

Stood next to the speakers and it ripped apart my little virgin ears. Was just all bass and drums. I take back this statement, the system at Bloodstock this year blew my fucking head off. Was mental. |

| This is going to be pretty gay but this was the loudest show ive ever been to. Line up was toxic holocaust, Kingdom of Sorrow (Shitfuckers) and GWAR. I enjoy toxic holocaust and all of their levels were balanced properly as well as having the volume at the perfect loudness. Kingdom of Sorrow is some wiggercore hardcore dance endorsed bullshit and they had the guitar level ripped way too high as well as the whole volume in general. I suffered from sever hearing loss because of some cholo wanking too hard and some eminem look a like shrieking into his mic. To top it off GWAR is always extremely loud and fucking retarded with getting the levels of their instruments right so by the end of the evening my right ear drum was suffering heavily. |
