|  Den Saakaldte are a Norwegian black metal 'supergroup', founded in 2006 by guitarist Sykelig, the band features members of Shining, 1349 and Dødheimsgard, among others. They have released a demo/EP titled Øl, Mørke og Depresjon (Beer, Darkness and Depression) one live split (with Shining) and one full length album, All Hail Pessimism. I think all their releases to date are excellent, though I would recommend starting with either the demo/EP or the full length. Shining's Niklas Kvarforth provides the vocals, who I have to say, I'm a big fan of. His performance really adds to the feel of the records. Which I consider to be brilliant examples of modern avant garde black metal. Definitely check them out if you haven't already! | Great band, I have yet to hear that demo/EP, but All Hail Pessimism is awesome, and yes, I`m a fan of Kvarforth too, I love his vocals |
