| http://sloughfeg.com/http://www.myspace.com/sloughfegAwesome heavy/folk metal band (more heavy metal than folk metal, so this board is more appropriate) from the U.S. They take influence from Manilla Road, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath and Thin Lizzy, with a Celtic folk sound in some of their melodies. |

| Personal favourite would have to be Down Among the Deadmen; that album doesn't have a single bad song on it. |

| I checked them out weeks ago and it's on my "buy-before-I-die" list. Can't go wrong with music inspired both by "Celtic" and "Iron Maiden" | |

| No, they changed the name after the Traveller! Mike Scalzi sayed in an interview that is so a little bit easier to find the CDs and Records in a Record Store *g*. btw it is for example impossible to find their Album in a regular Record Store in Germany. But the old name sounds much cooler | |

| Well formally they're still called The Lord Weird Slough Feg, but yes, from Traveller on, people have referred to them as just Slough Feg. Yea there Albums are hard to find in any Record Store haha. |

| The Lord Weird Slough FegTalk about a weird and obscure band! These guys play traditional heavy metal to my surprise. This is not a deathcore band or whatever you may think. These guys have been around for quite some time. They have a lot of stuff in their discography. Want to listen to something truly unique? Here they are. I would say they sound like Iron Maiden instrumentally and the vocals are unique. Slough Feg @ MySpaceSlough Feg @ M-A.com | |
