I was pretty sure I had made a thread about this band before...anyway...

Sacred Blade was a progressive metal band from Vancouver, Canada that only released one album on the small label Black Dragon Records entitled Of the Sun + Moon in 1986. It recieved good reviews and sold well despite the limited promotion it got.
Shortly after the release of the album they sign a record deal with Columbia (at the same time as Sanctuary signed to the label as well) and started the recording of a new album. Halfway through it was decided that the band should ditch what they had recorded to wait for a new top notch digital studio to be built. At the time they finally was ready to enter the studio grunge was the new thing, and refusing to go grunge they got dropped by the label, resulting in the band splitting up.

Ten years after the band re-surfaced under the moniker Othyrworld.

A limited edition Of the Sun + Moon album is still available from their Official Site
