Don't know how this band avoided my attention back in the 80's, but....

Vio-Lence was a thrash metal band being part of the legendary Bay Area Thrash scene. Formed in 1985 as Death Penalty and shortly after changed the name to Vio-Lence.
They released three full-lengths, before they split up in the mid 90's.

Discography:

Eternal Nightmare (1988)
Oppressing the Masses (1990)
Nothing To Gain (1993)

This is old-school thrash metal as its best and Eternal Nightmare will be up on the frog shortly...

Eternal Nightmare is definitely up in my top 10 greatest Thrash albums. Oppressing the Masses is also good but doesen't quiet have the same punch as Nightmare.

Awesome band nonetheless.

Riffage is good, but the vocals take getting used to, imo
