Not hating dude...I said "No offense meant" - Mash wrote:
- 5 Dio related albums is better than 1 Burzum related album....
WORD!! - Voggis wrote:
- C'mon guys and gals. This is a thread where people share their thoughts about some of their fave albums.
There is no "right" albums, and there's no "wrong" albums. We can't possibly like every album someone puts into their list. Why? Because we're all different and we got our own opinion on what we like or not. I don't want to read 15 opinions about Burzum, Iron Maiden or Abba in this thread. If I want to, I go to the bands thread...
No big deal my man, just playing with the dude...Well not really but.... - Cheese wrote:

Hawethorne heights - cutting myself
Korn - i use my masks as dildos for my own pleasure
P!ATD - pussy is the last thing ill ever get
my chemical romance - i fucked my own asshole with black eyeliner
to be continued.... After I read this I killed myself....

did you just talk shit about having a thread about your top ten albums then post about your top ten albums? not at all, I picked the ones which I thought had something genuinely unique to offer, while writing songs that were memorable and with ideas that in some way made an impact or could have been really influential if it had more exposure. i'm not picking on you

You still haven't give us that list mashy. Do it! The first and second Keeper albums with Helloween could easily fit in my list as well. Especially the first one-

How about a longer one, 10 for each of your favourite genres?

| Well i'm starting of then with one genre i don't have to much to choose from. Thrash Metal Artillery - By Inheritance Absolutely one of my favourite thrash metal albums. A wonderful trip without a boring second on the album. Several stand out tracks with great guitar and vocal work. Annihilator - Alice In Hell Jeff sure knows how to play, a masterful album without any bad tracks. First two ANnihilator albums are orgasmic could very well be Never, Neverland to be up here as well. Overkill - Feel The Fire Well probably my favourite thrash band with my favourite album by them. What a debut. Metallica - Ride The Lightning My favourite Metallica album without doubt. All songs are great, this was their peak. For whom the bell tools and fade to black are just orgasmic. Sabbat - A History of A Time To Come A wonderful debut by this somewhat different brittish thrah metal act. Love the different structures of the tracks. A real stand out in the thrash community. Sodom - Agent Orange This album never goes wrong, for me is several times better than anything else Sodom put out. Heathen - Victims of Deception First thrash metal albums made in the 90's to make this list. Glad some bands continued puting out quality 80's thrash. And this was Heathens peak with a fenomenal album. And now they are stil going strong. Metal Church - Metal Church Marvellous debut that could very well fit in several categories. Overkill - Under The Influence Overkill - Horrorscope | |

| Okey, here's my top ten of Death Metal albums (in no particular order). Edge of Sanity - Purgatory AfterglowClassic album with killer tracks, such as "Twilight", "Elegy" and "Black Tears". At the Gates - Slaughter of the SoulDo I need to even comment this? Classical album aswell, that established the whole "Gothenburg metal-scene". Morbid Angel - Altars of MadnessProb my all-time favourite death metal album. I got hooked first time I've heard it, stayed like that ever since Entombed - Left Hand Path Considered by many as a milestone in the death metal genre and I'm not the one who disagrees with that. Only one word for this album: awesome! Suffocation - Effigy of the ForgottenHeavy, brutal and technical guitarwork at it's finest. Immolation - Dawn of PossessionThe debut album of band that should get more praise than they do. Anyway, this album is a classic, no doubt about that. Behemoth - DemigodOne of the most atmospherical death metal albums I've ever heard. Epic yet technical and brutal at the same time. Winning combination. Dismember - Like an Everflowing StreamWonderful debut album by an awesome band. Heavy and some what "cathy" at times Blood Red Throne - Altered GenesisThis album has grown from being a pretty "unknown" album into a real modern classic death metal piece. The production of this album really just blow my mind. Bloodbath - Nightmares Made FleshEvery song on this album is truly a masterpiece. | |

| My Top Ten Progressive metal list. It's quite easy cause it don't really listen to this genre alot.
Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime Probably number one one my list. A brilliant concept album, with a real good story that binds all the songs together. Wonderful songwriting and really goood lyrics. It has a warm but yet anxious atmosphere all through that leaves you wanting more. It has some really stand out tracks even though it gives you the best experience from start to finnish. Love the co-play with Geoff Tate and Pamela Moore
Fates Warning - The Spectre Within It a slighly more heavy metal orientied but i would stil call it progressive, a fantastic album
Fates Warning - Awaken The Guardian It holds the same quality as the first.
Fates Warning - Paralells The album that started a softer and more progressive side from Fates Warning. Some people have problems with this album cause of the soft spots. Myself i can't think and bad about this marvellous album. Great lyrics, really good songwriting and a emotional journey.
Communic - Conspiracy In Mind Their first album and definately their highlight. Contains the most, heavy riffs, nice song writing and some more calmer, darker tracks.
Evergrey - In Search of Truth Their darkest and without doubt their best moment imo.
Control Denied - The Fragile Art of Existence Chuck Schuldiner really suprised me with this album. Awesome songwriting.
Queensryche - Warning I would have their self titled ep here as well, but for me its more heavy metal. Warning stil is but they are starting to catch their style here. Some various songs without a weak moment. No Sanctuary is a beautiful track.
And a have to split between theese two Dark Quarterer - Dark Quarterer - Dream Theater - Images And Words Great debut with a perfect cross between progressive and heavy metal.
I am not a bit DT fan, but this is the first album i heard with im and it stuch right away, after some time i got back to this album and i'm amazed by the songwriting and playing by this album. SKILLS!
