PostSubject: Vanderhoof   Sun Apr 11, 2010 11:37 am

Vanderhoof is a traditional metal band from Seattle, USA consisting of Metal Church mainman Kurdt Vanderhoof. The band have released two albums so far. The self titled came out in 1997, while A Blur In Time was released in 2002.

The style of metal that Vanderhoof is playing is something completely different compared to Metal Church as the music drew inspiration from 70's hard rock bands like Deep Purple and Uriah Heep. The Ken Hensley/Jon Lord sounding keayboard is a important factor in Vanderhoof sound.

Both albums are quite good, but my favorite is the self titled one.
