| Axel Rudi Pell is a heavy metal guitarist from Germany, who has released a number of solo albums since his departure from Steeler in 1989. His music is a traditional European heavy metal sound, citing Dio, Deep Purple, Rainbow, and Yngwie Malmsteen among his greatest influences Since their debut full length in 1989 Axel Rudi Pell has released 14th studio album, their latest this year titled "The Crest" Just recently found them, but my how i've missed something. | I think The Masquerade Ball is quite good...other than that I haven't heard much more than a couple of covers on several tribute albums by him. The Masquerade Ball is up on the blog, btw... | |

| Yeah the masquerade ball is a great album. Yeah i know, their new album is up there too!
I would recommend you to listen to Oceans of time, probably their best.
The first three albums has a more straight forward heavy metal type as it draws a bit more progressive with the years. | |
