| I prefer .rar. Torrents come in handy only if there are no .rar files of what I'm looking for available | |

Holy crud. I am in the dark. it like a program you use to download, it lets you pause or stop downloads, queue them up, and it uses full capacity of your bandwidth speed to dl file faster |

| Huh? Torrent is a pointer to a downloadable file that very well can be a rar file...or any other known file type depending on what you download. A rar file is just a compressed archive of files that can contain any known file types. So I can't see the comparison here...?
The problem with Torrents ain't the speed, but the quality of what you get. 80% of what I downloaded with Torrent ended up incomplete or just rubbish. It's basically the same with files downloaded from MediaFire, RapidShare etc...more than half of the music there is poorly ripped or re-encoded shit. What are people thinking when they poorly rip a CD to 128kpbs mp3, but attach a 500dpi scan of the cover artwork? That's why I always download three or four different files of the same album just to be sure I got at least one good rip of it...
That's why I mostly use UseNet as my download and upload source. The people there put their pride of posting flawless rips, at least if you join the more specific topic groups. | |

| When it comes to music, I almost always download .rar files, much better than downloading via torrent. I downloaded Alestorm's album (as a torrent) once. When I started listening to the first song, it was all good quality and all of a sudden the track switched to Megadeth's Skull Beneath The Skin but the title stayed the same! | |
