| Les Discrets is a French shoegaze/post-rock band/musical project that was formed in 2003 by Fursy Teyssier (Phest, Amesoeurs) as "a platform gathering music and art." The band embraces a musical style similar to that of fellow French shoegaze/metal acts like Alcest and Amesoeurs and released their first full-length album in 2010, called Septembre et ses dernières Pensées. They also did a split with Alcest in 2009.  You can find additional information on their website. Here's their MySpace. I recommend this band to everyone. I'll try to lookout of for similar artist Hmmm, yeah, that mix is cool. Alcest is, obviously, a similar artist. However, on last.fm, in the similar artist section there are lots of black metal bands, who also play post-rock and combine those two styles. | |
