U.D.O.

U.D.O. is the outfit Udo Dirkschneider formed. At first, U.D.O. was Accept. Basically Animal House was an Accept album, but it was by U.D.O.

I only know of one song by 'em. They Want War. It is quite an outstanding song. I should get albums by U.D.O.

The reason this album is filled with Accept written songs is a result of Udo leaving Accept in the preparation of the follow up to Russian Roulette. Some of the band members wanted to go for a more commercial direction, something Udo wasn't comfortable with. The rest of Accept allowed him to use the songs that they didn't wanted to include on a new Accept album. The song Lay Down the Law is credited as a song by U.D.O. and Accept. This song was a song recorded and finished during the Russian Roulette session, but was scrapped for the album. It was remixed and included on Animal House.

Animal House is one of the albums I will recommend, but also Holy, Faceless World and Mean Machine is really good albums. The sound of the albums doesn't differ much from Accept.

U.D.O.'s new album Dominator have been out several month already. How come I missed that?

Mastercutor is a hell of a album as well. Prolly the closest he have been the Accept sound since his first album.

Mean Machine is a nice album

U.D.O. is out with a new album in May. The title is REV-Raptor.
