German one-man band. Released an EP in 2006, a demo in 2007 and then the debut album came in 2008. Great cold atmosphere. Also labeled "depressive black metal" but hmm.. I prefer calling it atmospheric black metal since it does not really sound depressive to me if you forget the lyrics.

Depressive stuff is pretty cool and so is atmospheric stuff.

DBSM is different from atmospheric bm, though they may sound similar at some point. There is an air of depression that flows with its music, whereas with atmospheric bm bands, its more than depression..
Coldworld has made some fine music. Love the track 'Empty Life'.

I also don't think they should be labelled as dsbm..the feeling i get when listening to ColdWorld is solitude, nature, winter, snow-covered landscapes rather than suicide and self mutilation which is more typical of dsbm. my fav tracks on Melancholie are Tortured by Solitude and Hymn to Eternal Frost..i especially love to listen to these 2 in the morning when i'm still a bit sleepy. the entire album is very good imo.
