Machine Head

Only recently started listening to them.........and having seen them live twice in the last month (opening for Metallica) I'm hooked. The Blackening is a brilliant album. Any other fans out there?

Well, I like them, maybe not a big fan, but I have a huge sentiment best albums Burn My Eyes, Through The Ashes Of Empires and The Blackening of course and this last one is a masterpiece!

I agree The Blackening is one of their best, Halo and Clenching The Fists Of Dissent are fantastic live.

Listen to Vio-Lence instead.

I used to dig the Blackening a hell of alot but now I just can't get into it much, too modern and polished.

I only have their debut album. I bought it really cheap and also bought it for nostalgic reasons. The album has some great songs, but overall still not something that I listen to a lot.

Machine Head isn't thrash metal, and The Blackening is the only decent album they've released in over 10 years. Most of their discography sucks, with 2 or 3 standout albums.

Only The Burning Red and Supercharger man, who knows, maybe Burn My Eyes is the best album of the middle '90s ?

I like Machine Head, I remember getting The More Things Change on the day of release, after that they failed big time.

And Forbidden and Vio-Lence was strongly better bands no doubt. But MH is something new, something fresh and I like them for that.

Great band. Great opening for Metallica - I think they are better than the new Metallica-stuff. The tickets for the show are to expensive for me, so I can't see them live :(

The Blackening I like only one song, the rest - gnaah, not my taste.
