Carcass are one of the best bands in the grindcore genre. They took the brutality of Napalm Death and added so much gore and made one helluva brutal goregrind albums ever, "Reek of Putrefaction". Then they later made "Symphonies of Sickness" and later went on to make some Death Metal albums.

I saw them when they went on tour in August. That concert blew my mind, definatly one of the best that I've ever been to.

Very cool. I'd love too seen them live. They've made some trally great stuff. Which I guess is why they're my second favorite band, eh? heh.

Yeah man, it was an amazing show. The lineup was just insanely awesome, I was half awake by the time Carcass actually came one stage.

Was that when they toured with Aborted and 1349 (recently)?
I was wanting to go to one of those gig's, but I hadn't reached these shores yet.:(

Yeah, that's the one. I'm pretty sure it was in August, but i could be wrong.

That would have been a pretty cool gig! 1349 + Carcass = badass by itself. No gigs come close enough here for me to get a ride with anyone, being nobody listens too metal around me though.

Gonna see them co-headlining Bloodstock with Arch Enemy this year. I have a feeling it's gonna be damn awesome, even if they only play like 3 songs off the grind albums.

The first two Carcass albums (Reek of Putrefaction and Symphonies of Sickness) are clearly their classic albums and their best. The third (Necro..., long title) one is pretty good. Heartwork kicks a load of arse. Swansong is not so bad. Yeah, Carcass rocks. I have all of their albums. :-D

I would say to get Carcass' first three together to start. you really need to hear Necroticism-Descanting the Insalubrious too. Wink

Everything before they went melo is ace. Even the melo stuff is sick though.
