Legendary heavy metalers Iron Maiden has called it quits. Bassist Steve Harris states, "Our reasons for disbanding are our reasons. We have chosen not to get into it. All plans for the announced new studio album have been scrapped"
"We're sorry for anyone that this disappoints, but whatever, we've been around for almost 35 years and I'm not even sure where the hell I live anymore (laughs)."
In a short comment Bruce [Dickinson; vocals] says he has finally became a fulltime airliner pilot.
Adrian [Smith; guitar] did a secret gig in Colchester, UK last week with his melo-death project Bloody Urchin. It is believed that this will turn into a full time project.
Iron Maiden was founded in 1975 by Steve Harris, and released their selftitled debut in 1980. Their latest release was A Matter Of Life And Death in 2006.
