Hirax are a really killer and essential thrash metal band that you should give a chance if you haven't already. They're one of the best thrash metal bands I've ever listened to. Get their first two albums, Raging Violence and Hate, Fear and Power. They're very fast and the vocalist has such a cool voice. cheers

Well I wouldn't say Katon DePena and Bobby Ellsworth sound exactly alike, but they do have a similar style of vocals. Make no mistake though, while he may not hold a candle to Overkill, DePena is within his own right an outstanding songwriter and long time pioneer in the Crossover scene. Hirax 546327

The 2nd album is really awesome! Hate, Fear and Power may be fifteen minutes and fifty seconds, though it really really kicks arse! It is really supreme thrash metal. Every thrasher should have it. I like it better than their first album and that one is essential. Hell, even mandatory in a lot of thrashers' eyes!
