| Early Swedish melodic/progressive death metal band with legend Dan Swanö as the vocalist.
Discography: - Nothing But Death Remains (-91) - Unorthodox (-92) - The Spectral Sorrows (-93) - Purgatory Afterglow (-94) - Crimson (-96) - Infernal (-97) - Cryptic (-97) - Crimson II (-03)
Pretty much every album is some solid stuff, but it's on the Crimson album where they really stand out. It's a concept album consisting of just one single song that is as long as 40 minutes, with about seven pages of lyrics. Together with guest vocalist Mikael Åkerfeldt (Opeth), Dan Swanö made this into a rifftastic masterpiece. And the sequel (Crimson II) is almost just as good. | |

| The Spectral Sorrows and Purgatory Afterglow are both great albums. They've laid down some really cool tracks.
I'm going to start posting about the DM I listen to rather than just Doom Metal section. |

| Crimson, Infernal, Cryptic, Crimson II are the albums I heard most. Infernal is my favourite album and I worship Losing Myself, Hollow. Dan Swanö is a genius. |

| The albums I listed above actually have some stuff I don't so much enjoy. Really epic-sounding stuff, not my thang. |

| I want to get into this band. They just scream metal so much. I don't know why I even got around to checking these dudes out. I've heard many good things about 'em. They're quite a prolific Swedish band from what I've read. I'll have to pick up one of their first albums. I have to give 'em a listen. |

| Crimson was pure pawnage. One Epic track forming an epic album. I don't like any of the later releases of Edge Of Sanity. But pure fuckin' respects to Dan Swano. He's a legend. | |

| Edge Of Sanity played progressive death metal, with the earlier stuff being rather melodic. Their most acclaimed releases are the concept albums Crimson (with guest vocalist and lead guitarist Mikael Akerfeldt) and Crimson 2. I prefer Crimson to it's predecessor, although both are excellent albums. | |
