Oh, where to start, really? Black Sabbath is one of my favourite band and Tony Iommi is probably my all-time favourite guitarrist. (I even bought a SG because of him) Very Happy

Both Ozzy and Dio are fucking gods. They're both brilliant, I can't decide which one's I like the most.

In the past few weeks Tony Iommi have collaborate on new music with Ian Gillan for the first time since the Born Again album. So...what now? A tour under the Born Again moniker and a new album?? Bring it on...I really want it to happen

7th Star and The Eternal Idol will be released in a remastered and expanded version in November. 7th Star will feature a live recording from the 7th Star tour with Ray Gillen on vocals, while The Eternal Idol will feature two b-sides and the original versions of the songs from the album with Ray Gillen on vocals.

Damn, this is great news. The Eternal Idol have been close to impossible to find on CD for a reasonable price for years and I'm looking forward to get my hands on this one as I only got this on LP. It will be nice to hear the Ray Gillen recorded stuff as well. Before the internet The Eternal Idol sessions he did was almost mythical and the boots from those recordings was unbelivable high priced.
According to black-Sabbath.com Born Again will get a similar release next yeear and there are plans for those BS albums released by I.R.S. (Headless Cross, Tyr...) to be remastered as well in the near future...

Dehumanizer is so under-rated as far as Sabbath albums go...

Everybody knows how good Dehumanizer is...I would say Cross Purposes is the most underrated BS album of all time...a song like Virtual Death would have been a classic if it was on one of the classic albums...

Could very well be, both of them are great albums. Along with Thyr.

It doesn't get as good ratings as Heaven & Hell or Mob Rules and I think it is just as good.

Listened to Tyr a couple of times before X-mas. Great album, but I feel there should have been a song or two more on it. I think the whole albums clocks in under 40 minutes....

Acutally it is just over 50 minutes but you are right. I think they could have eliminated some of the filler tracks.

The deluxe version of Born Again will be out in May. The original album remastered with the second disc containing the so far unreleased The Fallen and a live recording with Ian Gillan on vox.

I never got around to get it on CD, but I have it on vinyl. Looks to be an appropriate occasion to finally obtain it on CD.
