Cobalt

Can't admit to having heard much of these guys but I do have Eater Of Birds which is some my favourite black metal ever. Recently dug it out again considering I've got their latest album Gin on they way.

Not sure how to describe their sound, it's definately straight up black metal but there's little interesting fluorishes of ideas here and there that make it stand out from the crowd.

Cobalt are fucking amazing, Gin is a top album, every person that listens to Metal should own a copy.

I have "Gin" and "Eater of Birds", I ordered them directly from Profound Lore, but they didn´t have "War Metal" and it´s not that easy to find it in Europe

But what an amazing music, it´s really no ordinary USBM

PS: My original "Gin" CD says "Coblat" LOOOL This band is sooo underground that they don´t even check the spelling for them!

great band, I havent given Gin enough listens though. Eater of Birds made a deep impression. Isnt one of these guys in the military?

I have absolutely no idea who behind the band actually is, just the names.
I´m not even sure they have their webpage, at least I didn´t find one.
Most probably they don´t even want to have one or be well known.
Until now, I only read one interview with them, but can´t recall that much...

Yeah supposedly thats what all his songs are based on, war and his experience.
