These guys are probably pretty far off from what most people here listen to, but they are awesome. Usually labeled a Psychedelic Rock band, they really are more than that, the band grew to encompass everything from ambient guitar drones to surging psych-funk sludge, blues-folk tunes to barbiturate space-rock, and some southern slow boogie thrown in for good measure. This is just some good easy listening music, and they are easily one of the best Psychedelic Rock bands out today.

Old Growth was the album that made me love these guys. Damn theyre good, MD represent.

That opening riff in the video I posted is what got me into these guys. It was the first thing you heard in the trailer for the movie "Such Hawks, Such Hounds".

Yes indeed. Black Mountain is an excellent group too. I have their album, "In The Future". I'm into a lot of Stoner and Psychedelic Rock.
