Sonata Arctica

I wonder why nobody opened a Sonata Arctica thread... seems it's my turn.^^

For those who don't know them: They play melodious power metal with progressive influences in their actual album "Unia".

I never liked Sonata Arctica. I tried a few albums by them but I found them to not be good at all.... especially Unia

I like their older albums a lot..especially Silence and Ecliptica..but Reckoning Night and Unia are not the best they did imo.

Lyrics and music are so damn cheesy... Sonata Arctica 558938

They made a decent cover of Iron Maiden's Die With Your Boots On on a tribute album or something some years ago.

Unia wasn't that bad...just not my kind of power/symphonic/progressive/whatever metal.

They will release a new live DVD later this year called Live In Finland.
