Obituary

This band is totally one of my favorites. I love ALL albums (except Back from the Dead ). They have some killer riffs and vocals.

Damn! Why didn't I already make this thread? Seriously love this band. 'Slowly We Rot' and 'Cause of Death' are my favorites.

I have their best off. These guys are JAWSOME.

I love this band, one of my top favourites. "Slowly we rot" and "World Demise" are awesome imo. i have a few other albums of theirs, but they are all great. i havent come across one i havent liked yet.

I love alot of the old Obituary stuff, but the new stuff is really boring to me.

Another great oldschool death metal band! damn, i like all albums of them but most slowly we rot and cause of death. I saw them in lithuania a one year ago.That was killer!

One of best death metal bands that's for sure yeah slowly we rot and cause of death destroy everything...

Like the music, don't really like the vocals. Gotta check out their new album, Ralph Santolla's on i, so it should be good

It's pretty mediocre.

I've yet to check it out aswell. But, I haven't really heard much about it.

Obituary are pretty sweet, I don't listen to them very often though. I should really fix that.

Obituary in high doses is bad. Their stuff is exceptional if you listen in moderation (old stuff), but if you listen to them for more than an hour that droney guitar tone really does start to get boring.

Yeah you are right about that.

So what is the new album like? I'm not much of a fan of this band so I'm leery about the new one.

Anyone getting Darkest Day? That's their new album.

I've heard the new album already, it's not that bad. After hearing first riff you know for sure what band are you listening to, they kept their unique sound and style. The most controversial issue, are Santola's guitar solos - they simply dont fit Obituary's music, and there is one in almost every song. I think they should release some version without these solos, because AFAIR, its not only my opinion.

It's funny, with some bands people complain there are no guitar solos and with other bands people complain that there are guitar solos.

With all the music editing software available these days, you can cut the solos out of the songs yourself....lol

anyway i got their new album...looking forward to listening to it after suffocation! XD
