| I gees I'm über gay then but I don't know anyone off you so your opinion don't matter to me. Of course trust and honesty is very important but I don't need someone to frown and complain when I listen to music. Music is sucha big part off me so if there is no compatibility it will just end in disaster sooner or later. There is some things hidden behind the scene here but I'm not here to tell you my life story or how I work. |

| Its weird really, my wife and I have really nothing in common. She's very artistic, I could fuck up a drawing of a matchstick man, I like films such as Apocalypse Now, she prefers to watch films like Titanic, and as I've mentioned before we have completely opposite tastes in music. I think the secret is compromise, she doesn't mind me watching or listening to what I want, and neither do I with her interests I also encourage her to continue with her art because I know she enjoys it.
However one of the reasons I enjoy communication through forums such as this, is that at my age, no one has even heard of most of the bands I like, so I've no one to talk to about music which is my second love (after my wife) |

But If for some reason someone played Britney Spears in my apartment I would probably freak out and exit throe the window. |

| I gees I have to stay on the first floor then. Well Theater I probably would not mind that much actually. I'm a strange motherfucker so I kind of come to terms with the possibility of being single my whole life, but I'm not closing any doors that would be stupid. |

| I certainly believe it. I'm in love with STK. So far it's a long distance relationship. We've been together for almost a year and a half. This is my first true relationship. I'm being patient about meeting him in person. Hopefully if stuff goes right, I may have the opportunity to visit him while he's on his fall break in October (expect to see pics of us together, lol) However, I can't make any promises on that! I should be working (my job coach says I'll find this September...) and the job may interfere or there will be other conflicts. Ya never know though... we will see! | |

That is sweet and all, but isn't it awkward considering the age difference? Don't get me wrong, I think that this is heartwarming for some strange reason (And I'm probably the most heartless of the bunch)

Actually I've found the opposite to be true. Most blokes I've met (or dated) into metal don't actually like it when you have a bigger cd/vinyl collection than them, and in general I've found when at gigs with friends (male), other blokes assume you are there as the 'girlfriend' or you're just into 'blokes with long hair' or similar bullshit. Then you have to 'prove your knowledge'. I'd hoped after all these years this wouldn't still be the case, but unfortunately it is. I was in a relationship for 14 years with someone who didn't like metal, but accepted that was part of me. I personally think its more fun to have different tastes and interests, you experience and share more but you get to keep something that is exclusively yours...you don't want to do everything together.. |

This. I've dated women who where into metal (even more so than me) and usually after the honeymoon period we'd both realise that metal was the only thing we had in common. My last girlfriend wasn't into metal at all and so I just kept that for myself. And why does it have to be love between man and woman? What about the love of a well cooked pie? Fuck I love pies...

| I think the idea of love is quite simple. Understanding it doesn't allow you to control it, though, since it amounts to an instinct. Just like we can tell what we want to eat by how it smells, we can tell what mate we want through some combination of pheromones and attraction to features that could support healthy children. People just happen to put more literary emphasis on the latter. | |
