Finntroll

Anyone know the band Finntroll? I really like Trollhammaren !

all their releases are damn good imo! the one i like the least is rivfader and that only because of the low sound quality but otherwise its also killer

Fun band to listen to once in a while.

New album has leaked!

Been listening the new one for a while now, especially when drunk. It's Troll, still. Basic strong. Ur Jordens Djup had already some more non-keyboard dominated humppa-shait, and the guitars had a bigger part in bringing the traditional rythms to the music.
The keyboards have still a big part though. Funny still, that now the band has two keyboard-players.
Solsagan has very much black metal in it and there's also some Visor Om Slutet-stylish acoustic jamming in a couple of songs. My other favourites would be Under Bergets Rot and Fornfamnad. Vreth handles the vocals well as expected.

So Nifelvind is a good add to the Troll-catalogue and the time will show how it fits into the bigger picture.
