No death metal forum is complete without the mention of Darkified in my opinion, they may have only released demo/7" stuff, but they will always be one of the most interesting/original and dark sounding DM bands ever! Definitely the best of the Swedish DM bands at the time!

They split mainly because the various members went on to play in other bands, Robert Karlsson (Edge Of Sanity, Facebreaker, etc), Jocke Göthberg (Marduk) and Dan Swano featured on keys! Their demo and 7" stuff was released together on Repulse Records (A Dance On The Grave), but even that is hard to come by these days, I'm afraid if you haven't heard 'em for the moment downloading off one of the DM blogs out there is the only way until someone decides to release it again!

I agree. Darkified is an awesome dm band from Sweden. Their compilation is a gm in underground DM history. The power, the songwriting is out of this world.
