| Why haven't I made this thread? Anyway, Formed in 94', in Seattle Washington. They're a Death/Doom band, another one that I can get into. They've got a female vocalist thats absolutley amazing! Easily my favorite female vocalist. (Name is Runhild Gammelsaeter) Runhild was only 17 when they recorded the one album they've got. Runhild left but the rest of the members formed the band Burning Witch.
Any fans?
If you're looking to get into them, check out "Dommedagsnatt" its the only album they've got, they did have a demo though. |

Good deal man. I swear they're the most amazing woman vocalist I've heard in a lonnnnnnng time. Very cool band, sadly only one album. |

| Thorr's Hammer is a unique band; it was probably one of the first bands featuring Stephen O'Malley and Greg Anderson, two awesome musicians who have been in tons of bands. Runhild Gammelsæter is an epic vocalist; I didn't believe it was her grunting when I first heard Thorr's Hammer. I was wondering who the male vocalist was doing it, and the epiphany came to me somewhat slowly about how awesome she is as a vocalist. I hear that they recently reunited as well; I read that on wikipedia. They may be making new music as well (keyword: may). I plan on getting my hands on the demo and/or EP someday. Too bad the band only lasted six weeks during its first incarnation. They did leave behind a great legacy, however. I find it cool that Runhild Gammelsæter is still active in music, with her solo career and her membership in Khlyst. Also, Burning Witch, the band that formed out of Thorr's Hammer's ashes, is a great band as well. | |
