Old school swedish death metal band that's been around since 1993 with a bunch of demos, EPs and 3 full length albums. 2007's Terra Necrosis album was pretty damn good, and my first exposure to the band. The news below is a bit disapointing.

Swedish death metallers NOMINON have parted ways with vocalist Daniel Garptoft. No reasons was given for his departure.

The band recently entered Necromorbus Studios to begin recording its fourth album for an early 2010 release. The vocals are currently being laid down on the effort by guitarist Juha Sulasalmi. According to the group, "It all sounds really promising."

The follow-up to "Terra Necrosis" will include nine songs.

Swedish death metallers NOMINON will release their fourth album, "Monumentomb", on March 23 via Deathgasm Records. The CD was recorded at Necromorbus Studio (WATAIN, NOMINON, AVERSE SEFIRA, FUNERAL MIST, NEX, ONDSKAPT, MORK GRYNING, ADORIOR) in Alvik, Sweden and was mixed with producer Tore Stjerna. The group states, "We managed to record eleven songs and it all sounds really powerful and heavy, yet fast and with a certain raw edge, and at last it's definitely the most varied material so far from NOMINON."

In other news, NOMINON has announced the addition of bassist Martin Petersson from Gothenburg to the group's ranks.

NOMINON recently launched a vocalist search following the departure of Daniel Garptoft (who was in the band for five years). The band is seeking someone who "shares [its] vision of delivering disgusting death metal full of energy and hatred to all the inhabitants of the underground."
