| Blue Öyster Cult or "BÖC" is a renowned hard rock/heavy metal band which formed in 1967 in Long Island, New York, United States. The band is led by founding members Eric Bloom (vocals, guitar) and Buck Dharma (guitar, vocals). They are best known for their hit singles "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" and "Burnin' for You".
The members of the band began to come together in the late 1960s, as a band called Soft White Underbelly, in the vicinity of Stony Brook University on Long Island, New York, at the prompting of critic Sandy Pearlman.
Well anybody here that listens to em? Secret Treaties and fire of unknown origin is kickass albums.

| One of my favourite hard rock band. I don't listen them long, only from the 3 months...but I heard about them earlier. So kick ass band, I would recommend Secret Treaties or Agents Of Fortune first. |

| Awesome, same here. About a year for me. Great albums.
For you who love classic hard rock check out their 70's albums, the ones they got from the 80's is a bit heavier.

| Never really got into their stuff, but they released a album in the late 90's called Heaven Forbid that wasn't too bad, imo. I remember there was a song on it called Damaged that was quite good. | |

| Love them! Buck Dharma is possibly my favorite guitarist of all time. My favorite track of theirs is E.T.I. | |
