Diablo Swing Orchestra

Diablo Swing Orchestra is a avant-garde metal band from Sweden. The have released two full-lenghts and a EP so far.

The music is kind of hard to explain, but they fuse a lot of different instruments and musical styles into their music, most often brass instruments, swing, jazz and opera. Daniel Håkansson (guitar) says that he prefers "riot-opera" as the best tag to their music, because it captivates the overall feeling of the music. Even though the idea is not new, the outcome is quite original.

I've listened to their most recent one, Sing-Along Songs for the Damned & Delirious, and it's quite...hmm...interesting. I guess this is a band you either hate or love.
