| at best this band is deathcore... not death metal.... plus their lyrics and image is complete shit... vocals blow... and their instrumentals are just mediocre... nothing good about this band...
ive seen them live once also... they could not perform even close to what their studio releases sound like..

yeah thats because their studio recordings are fucked around with to such a level seeing that the band sucks cock, and in order to make them sell their shitty excuse of so called music, it needs to be tampered with to make it sound one step higher than "shit" |

That's what I was thinking. Bands like Dead Kennedy's and Agnostic Front shouldn't be lumped with anything core. Drifting off subject here... Yeah, this band is gay.

| Incredible band.
Also anyone that claims that TBDM are deathcore probably haven't even listened to them, they're almost certainly judging the band because shitloads of scene kids listen to them. They are purely influenced by swedish death metal like Entombed and Dissection, aswell as their idols Cannibal Corpse.

Damn core americans shiting over our death metal. No offense to you americans here ofc . And secondly Dissection wasn't even a death metal group even though they went in that direction on Reinkaos.

They could be influenced by those said bands, and they have every right to say so. I could crank out some noisy dubstep or a harsh noise recording and say that I am influenced by Led Zeppelin, and that wouldn't be far off (even though you couldn't hear those direct influences in my music). Nitpicking, I know, but it needed to be said

| 1- i agree with thorns about dissection, as good as they are, they were only called death metal after reinkaos 2- if thats the case scato, then tell me on what basis are they influenced by those bands? their lyrics? no...their music? no...so how exactly are they and i quote "PURELY influenced by swedish death metal" if you cant hear the influence in the music, then how are they influenced by it?! if youre influenced by something it has to show in your music so that when people hear it, they say "oh yes, they got this kind of shit from this band or that band, or they sound like this or that" and not simply based on pure bullshit and mere talk. and plus, imo, when bands put their influences as big ass famous good bands, and it dosent actually show in their music, then theyre just looking to sell records, which, imo is what shitty metalcore is all about. so again...FUCK THAT |

| I would draw a distinct line between influence and pastiche. With the first I would go and say that everything the artist observes, be it audial or drawn, goes into a "melting pot" in his head. Be it a technique for mixing down the music, chaining effect pedals up in a different way, using different source sounds etc. The source of the influence might not be visible or audible in the finished product, but the artist himself changed/got influenced to do things in a different way. With the latter, the pastiche actually has recognizable, perhaps even direct, elements of the source. Many "worship" and tribute bands would go into this category (f.e. Hellhammer/Celtic Frost-worship bands like Warhammer, Apocalyptic Raids and so on). It's a thin red line, but I think it's needs to be drawn But yeah, to sum it up for BDM, I think they are pretty second-rate shit. | |
