EZO was a traditional metal band from Sapporo, Japan, formed in 1986 when the members of
Flatbacker decided to approach a more commercial sound. Despite their flashy mix of Kiss and Kabuki theater image, they were not as mainstream as the (sleaze) bands they were compared to by media.
Gene Simmons (Kiss) co-produced their self titled debut in 1987, but split-up shortly after the 1989 follow up
Fire Fire.
After the split-up the singer
Masaki Yamada joined
Loudness.
Their self-titled is really good and should be interesting for those who likes melodic heavy metal.
