I'll start by saying that the second song worked MUCH better for me, I actually had to force myself to listen through the first track If I compare the songs, the usage of the synths on the first one seem totally out of place, it actually feels like it was thrown together in the studio for a quick filler. On the other hand, the second song progresses much more logically and seems more thought out. I checked Metal Archives about them, and seeing that they are a relatively young band, they still have time to progress and find their direction. I don't mean to say that it's bad, it just seems they are still a bit lost with what they want to do.

Well let me show you something. They started without almost any musical knowledge,so it's understandable.
"Unfortunately, behind the birth of Sincarnate there is no miraculous story but merely a lot of assumptions about how little chance such enterprise should have had. One of them is the fact that out of the 6 members of the band none had ever played before on a stage, before starting with Sincarnate. Not to mention that only one of us had ever rehearsed with a band before and two of us had actually never played an instrument before joining in.
Hard to believe, but when Giani and Marius took the decision of founding a band, Giani only had an old guitar, more or less unplayable, no amp or any other means to put the idea in practice. Better said, “ideas”, since new ideas for songs were something we never got short of. Catalin joined the band shortly after as a guitarist (he played bass guitar in Man among Stars and guitar in a project band) and his drummer skills helped us a lot also in the coming months.
Then Gigi stepped in, also having actually no experience with the drums. I wasn’t so eager to try again with someone who had never played an instrument before, but this time I proved to be wrong. Gigi turned out to be the most talented among us. He learned to drum extremely quickly, helped out by his unbelievable innate talent. We started putting together the first songs, making great efforts meanwhile to master our own instruments.
Little by little things evolved and after some months the first Sincarnate songs took shape, giving us hope that we were on the right path. Marius, while tending the bass parts also started to handle the vocals. It didn’t take us a lot to notice his really great performance on the vocals and wanted him to focus on it as much as possible. This is why we started looking for a bass player, and were really lucky to meet Razvan, who was already an experienced bassist (he had played for a while with Sphera Noctis and is a member of the black-metal band Acral Necrosis). Razvan joined in effortlessly, completing our rhythmic section.
The last thing needed in order to make our line-up complete was a keyboard, meant to give our music that needed doomed, symphonic touch. Although I already knew Cristi, I found out that he also plays keyboard and guitar after we posted an ad. He replied to it and shortly after we met and knew that we had the last addition to the band.
After that, things started to happen in quick succession, and we were invited to have our first show in the Suburbia Club, Bucharest, with Enthrallment, Dies Irae, Kratos and Necrovile. Even though we were stressed out like hell, with most of us walking on a stage for the very first time, we delivered a good show, considering the really good reactions from the audience and the media people that were there.
Our next live show took place in Live Metal Club in the company of Abigail, Seven, Vespera and Shewolf. We used the opportunity to also play some new songs which were well received by the audience, an impression that was also confirmed by the positive reviews we had in some of the local webzines. Unfortunately, this concert was also the last one with Catalin.
Shortly after we recorded the instrument parts for our first EP, ‘On the Procrustean Bed’ in the Taine Studio in Bucharest, Catalin, who contributed heavily to the conception of the first songs and was one of the founding members, announced that he would leave Romania for good. Knowing that he wouldn’t be easy to replace, we were pretty unhappy to be again on the search for a band member. The search took us the entire summer but ended happily with the coming of Manuel. Other than being a good friend of Catalin, Manuel has extensive experience with the guitar and the bass and easily took over the parts Catalin played, starting also to bring his share in the songwriting process."

Thanks for the information! That text from Last.fm clears up quite a bit for me. That's actually a pretty cool concept, forming a band with minimal musical experience and seeing them progress through the years. Hey, everybody was a beginner at some point, right

Vocals kinda remind me of Debauchery(DEU) and Shining, pretty kinky if you ask me.
