Gates of Ishtar was a melodic death metal band formed in Luleå, Sweden during the early nineties. They released three albums; "A Bloodred Path", "The Dawn of Flames" and "At Dusk and Forever".

They're sound is often being compared to early "In Flames" and "At the Gates" like the rest of many melodic death metal bands during that period.

Yup absolutely, as long as the 90's keept on. Do you listen to Unanimated, Gardenian, Sacrilege, Julie Laughs No More, Eucharist, Hypocrite, Autumn Leaves and A Canorous Quintet too? Other they all played good old school melodic death and are wort checking out if you like the genre.
