So, title says it all. Can you recommend some bands? I'm currently looking for some bands with classical influences. I know there are a lot of power metal bands which use this kind of music, but what about some other genres? There are also some bands that use weird instrument, which is good of course. God Of Shamisen is a perfect example. Share your thoughts and knowledge here! In the meantime, I will surf Metal Archives. cheers

Devil Doll - check this out. Basically, you have everything about it on MA. Some of the music was used as a soundtrack in movies. Creepy! Smile

A sample of an album "Dies Irae", from '96. It has many parts.

I will add more obscure stuff if I find it.

Yeah, Devil Doll is freaking awesome stuff. Especially the song called "The Girl Who Was... Death" which is a 60 min song based on the 1967 series called "The Prisoner". I highly recommend both to listen to the song and watch the series (it's just one season) and you'll appreciate the song even more when you've watched "the Prisoner".

I listened to Dies Irae by Devil Doll...

Very strange music....

I can't help but be reminded of the vampire rock opera song in the movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall
