Uhm, I missed these guys here. Definitely one of my favorite bands.
Don't think they need further introducing, but Melodeath from Sweden anyway.
Everything prior to and including Clayman is awesome in my opinion. Don't actually mind the newer stuff either.
Favorites are The Jester Race and Clayman.

Ooooo... In Flames... It's my first metal band, which I was listening in early 00's, before that I was listening Scorpions, Queen, and other hard rock band. But In Flames fully transfered me to metal. I love this band, in spite of how many years I was listening to it. Clayman is my favourite

I don't like their music. Sounds boring me.

And it does not sound like "death metal".

An ok band. Rarely listen anymore, if ever. Early stuff was the only things I've listened too but it's pretty good stuff.

Everything? Haha. I just said that normal decent death metal is boring and In Flames is a boring band.

They are good, but have nothing to the kings like Amon Amarth, Dark Tranquillity or the new Scar Symmetry.

I like The Jester Race. I haven't tried much more than that with these guys.

I never got into In Flames (not even their melodic death/Gothenburg days), except for maybe a few riffs I heard off Whoracle. They're really nothing to write home about. I was digging one song from Reroute to Remain while it was played on some metal music channel on MusicChoice years ago on satellite TV. I forgot the track and I didn't really find it memorable.

Agree on that, except for Scar Symmetry, never managed to like them very much. Switching them with Mors Principium Est and I have 3 MDM band that definitely beat In Flames Smile

Anything up to Whoracle is all you really need by In Flames, they sold out. Callenish Circle kicks their arse though.

I never could get into them for the most part. Jester Race is pretty sick though.

I understand the wish to make money but they just have become a pale imitation of their former selves.

Definitely agree on that. I miss the old In Flames a lot, even tho I think their newer stuff is rather ok, it's still far from the same.

Personally I think their last 4 albums are steaming piles of steaming commercial horseshit, but thats just my opinion.
