Combining some of the download sections.

I mentioned this in another thread and I think it may be a good idea. At least until the forum get's busier. Any thoughts?

and people can post the bands \ albums depending on what genre it is...

Ok, personally, I think just having a download section without all the stickied threads would be better. That way each download can have its own thread.

What I mean is, instead of having a separate thread or forum for each genre of download, just have the section for all downloads. maybe require in the title what genre the album is... or make it so the poster can put a description below the title?

The DL section is actually pointless when you think about it.
If the forum's based around the blog, then why not just have everybody post shit in there? A news section (like Mash suggested) would benefit the forum more than having two sets of albums available within two clicks of each other.

Albums posted on the blog will not be posted here, if they are they will be deleted. I actually agree with you on the downloads section...If it was completely up to me I would eliminate it.

I agree with Cheese. If you delete the DL section, members won't be able to post albums at all.

OK, well here's the problem...One of the rumors circulating about why MT was dropped from their host was due to copyright infringement...That isn't happening here...If members want albums put up on the blog, all they have to do is pm or email me after they upload it to whatever media storage site they want, and i will add the album...I seriously have to take this into consideration...

Heat, if that's the case I think we should do away with the DL forum. No sense in getting the site shut down.

The download section is not necessary as long as we got the blog. Even if we didn't had the blog there's tons of places to download music from. If we keep this forum download free (and porn free) we have nothing to fear...

I vote to get rid of the download section...

...the downloads already available through this forum should be made available on the blog before we delete that section from here.

well, heat, since you put it THAT way..then i guess it'd be better to be on the safe side and drop it...but make sure the albums in the DL section get posted on the blog...

instead, in the nonsense talk section we could make an album requests thread, and the members could ask for the albums...if anyone finds the album, a PM of the link would be cool, or if its on the blog, well and good...

The download section is eliminated. I do not want the site shut down for any type of broken rules. If anyone wants to have albums put up on my blog just pm me, Vogg, Mash, Cheese or Mess with the link and we will add it

It may take a few days as I am backlogged about 60 albums that I need to add to the blog. But they will eventually get there.
