Mitochondrion

A Canadian band, playing some of the most vitriolic music I've ever heard. Archaeaeon, their latest album, slays! Think of a mix between Drawn and Quartered and Angelcorpse, with a heavy dose of misanthropic aggression, and you'll have a good idea of what these guys sound like.

Oops, sorry 'bout that, I'll remember for next time. But yeah, Archaeaeon, their first (and only) album is awesome. It has an almost subconscious rhythmic feeling to it, more mood music than anything really, as the guitars are buried pretty deep in the overall mix; it has some amazing drumwork, though, some of the best I've heard in a while.
