| IMHO They are good, but not good enough, all albums can have 8/10 points except Destroy Erase Improve because this is unique. |

| Meshuggah taught me to listen, really listen to music. I remember the day I first heard (Nothing) Meshuggah I wondered what I had got myself into, then one day it just clicked, I still remember that moment now, it was literally like a switch had been turned on. |

| I'm moving this to the progressive metal forum. I know, everyone has their own opinions of what genre bands are, but there guys are more progressive and death than thrash (imho). | |

| Destroy, Erase, Improve was epic. Not so much of a fan of ObZen, though - every song sounds the same on that album, except Bleed which was a damn good song - but even that dragged on for way too long. |

| I found obZen kind of boring. The songs all sound the same. There are a few guitar riffs on there that I really like, but that's about it. | |

| I think it's the production on ObZen. The guitar tone somehow ends up being even more monotonous than Obituary, and every song kind of blends into another if you aren't just concentrating on the music. If you played me a track from ObZen, I wouldn't be able to name a single one except Bleed - the rest just don't stick. |

Maybe its something to do with the 8 string guitars? I love obZen and I don't feel that one song bleeds into the next. each to their own. |

It's a possibility. 8 string guitars and downtuning too low doesn't usually go well - as proven by KoRn (god I hate them). Maybe if they tune up a bit on the next album, the guitars definitely have a percussive edge to them. Muhammad Suicmez from Necrophagist now plays 8 string, but his style is much more melodic. |
