There are so many excellent genres, each with it's own appeal. I have to go with Thrash though. It's just been there for me since the start, and It'll possibly be what I'll listen to till the end.

What's wrong with metalcore? Bands like Suicidal Tendencies and S.O.D. are great! Now bands that go *chugga-chugga-stolenAtTheGatesriff-breakdown-chugga* on the other hand... Seriously, when did the definition of metalcore change?

I didn't say anything was "wrong" with it. BUT...On the other hand when you have all of those other subs to choose from...You'd have to be fucked in the head to choose core...

To be perfectly honest, I used to be totally ANTI Metalcore. But over the past few months i have actually heard and liked some Metalcore/Melodeath bands.

I'd say I am equal parts Power and Doom, but I picked doom.

There are so many great genres though! I think of myself as a metal connoisseur...lol I appreciate all good METAL.

Same here. I really have opened up to many other subs over the past 6 months. Doom is my first love but I like them all. If the band is good, I don't care what sub they are.

The only metalcore I can listen to and enjoy is Austrian Death Machine.
