A Line Of Deathless Kings was shitty as well. It's more Gothic than Doom as is the new one.

Nothing wrong with some gothic touches, as long as they don't take over.
The heavy doom riffing is stil there.

I like that My Dying Bride has a more depressing sound then most doom bands.

Fave Doom Band. Love them. used to listen to them all the time. still listen to them now. just not as much. now im like. More thrashy than i ever have been, its freakin Awesome Very Happy

I probably listen to more MDB than whats good for me. But I agree that the two last albums are the weakest ones.

Heat I think you are wrong about the "Gothic takes over Doom" I don't think so, first album I could say that are more Death then Doom... but it's just my opinion and my view to doom metal anyway...

Really? I can agree with that they ahve released far better albusm then the last two, but i feel that 22.788 %...complete are much weaker. And i like For Lies I Sire more than LDK. Smile

I actually like 34.788%...Complete, its different I give you that but it's far from bad.
Yeah For Lies I Sire is better then LDK but not buy much.

I've only heard For Lies I Sire, but it is pretty enjoyable. I'll be checking out some earlier albums pretty soon.

You should check the symphonaire infernus et spera empyrium e.p. orchestration is a bit disorganized but it's good

My Dying Bride is an awesome doom metal band, if you ask me. I own their album A Line of Deathless Kings, and I'll say it's a great album. Something worth noting is that I like the prardoxical album title. They are one of the three bands that have received nine plays from me on last.fm as of today.
