Falkenbach is a Pagan/Viking Metal project founded in 1989 by Markus "Vratyas Vakyas" Tümmers from Germany/Iceland.

His special style is called Skaldic Metal, because his songs contain parts of the Edda, an 800 years old poetry about the Nordic Mythologie (Odin/Thor/Loki and so on).

The music is ranged between calm Folk Metal songs and explosive Pagan/Black Metal songs...

I can recommend "Heralding - The Fireblade" without hesitation.

Check them out pls, Pagan/Viking/Folk fans won't regret.

heralding is my favorite too. though all four albums are awesome.
this is one of the few bands who can make the same album over and over without anyone complaining.

Falkenbach - amazing. I've only listened to the debut though and some of the songs from the second album. I should go listen to more and not fail like I do right now

I honestly couldn't compare Moonsorrow to Falkenbach. If you're talking simply about the overall palette, where one band just has more elements that appeal to the person in question, that's one thing. But they're quite different bands, even if both are folk/black.

Been on a big Falkenbach binge recently, one of the earlier bands I got into, back in the day, and still one of the favourites. No one seems to pay attention to them anymore, which is a shame
