Primal Fear is a German power metal/heavy metal band formed in 1997. Rest info here

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Primal_Fear_(band)

And new songs by them ---> http://www.myspace.com/primalfearofficial

I know them since the late 2006...and I can't wait for the new album!, my others favorite CD's are Primal Fear, Jaws Of Death, Nuclear Fire, Seven Seals...New Religion wasn't that Primal Fear to which I habituate but It's listenable too.

I have a couple of their albums, Jaws of Death and Seven Seals. Not bad. Decent Power Metal.

So far I know their debut and it's great and the similarity to Judas Priest is brilliant.

What is bad with the New Religion? Most pugnacious and catchy album of '00s

Wayy too soft, too many ballads/slow tracks and a bit mainstream sounding which links in with your description of 'catchy'. I didn't enjoy it at all.

You guys and gals should check out singer Ralf Scheepers new self-titled solo album. It doesn't differ much from Primal Fear. It's really good, and some nice guests on it as Tim "Ripper" Owens and Kai Hansen.
