Novembers Doom

I have trouble getting into this band.

Heat, I'm kinda tired of you rejecting peoples opinions, so cool it. I know it's your forum but you totally troll people when you disagree with them. These threads arent strictly band worship. If you disagree, at least make it a valid response, not something like you just displayed.

Well, when you make a silly remark like "meh band with one good album" Sarcasm is what you will get.

But if you want me to be a bit more specific, for you I will do just that.

Novembers Doom first three albums, Amid Its Hallowed Mirth, Of Sculptured Ivy and Stone Flowers and The Knowing are fantastic Death/Doom albums. Not meh. But fantastic. As are their EP's

Anyone that would say they aren't just shows their ignorance and how little they actually know about music..

Now when you get to To Welcome the Fade and The Pale Haunt Departure the albums are not as good as the first three. But they are still very good. Not meh.

And then they bounce back with perhaps their second best album The Novella Reservoir which is again fantastic and perhaps the best of 2007. But not meh.

Again if you're gonna just make stupid comments about one of the best Death/Doom bands around then you deserve a sarcastic answer.

I am not a huge Novembers Doom fan, yes I do like them but not a huge fan. If you don't like a band that is cool but to say a band such as this is meh. Well that's plain ignorant but that seems to be your MO. If you don't like them, they suck or are boring.

I agree with Heat on this one... aside from his perception of "The Pale Haunt Departure" which is my favorite ND album. You see, when you call a band like this one a "meh band", expect to be called out on it:

What album do you think is the only "good one" by the band?
At what time are you referring to? Novembers Doom have been around since 1989 and they have reinvented their sound more than once throughout that time...

I checked out To Welcome the Fade a while ago and really liked that album. I actually loved it so much I've preordered their new one Into Night's Requiem Infernal that will be out in mid-July. What a cool title for an album...really looking forward to it.
