Good question, I don't know if I can answer it. Slow heavy and ponderous stuff gives me a boner I suppose.
But there is a lot of boring and shitty funeral doom out there as it is with all kind of music. Maybe you just bin unlucky and listen too some shitty stuff?

And a thought of comfort too you... you can't like everything Smile
