| I don't know what the feelings on bumping older topics are but hey.
Either way these guys are amazing, just everything Relapse releases tends to be. Have to order the album soon as I've only heard it from when it was streaming. Insane bass player too. |

| sorry for reviving old topics but i find it unbelievable that there aren't more obscura fans here but i guess i am a bit biased since tech death is my fav genre... their newest album Cosmogenesis blew me away completely..it's one of the albums I can listen to from beginning to end, day and night. the best songs imo are Anticosmic Overload, Centric Flow and Incarnated i can't wait to see them live in august, yay! |

| I can see Cosmogenesis ending up on my top 10 of 2009, let's see if the upcoming Necrophagist album can top it! |

| do you know when we can expect the new Necrophagist album? i can't wait!! Cosmogenesis will definitely be on my top 10 of 2oo9 too...probably one of the top 3. what about their debut album, do you like that one, Rippz? i think that one's pretty good too, especially the songs Alone, Hymn to a Nocturnal Visitor and Nothing, but Cosmogenesis is very close to what i'd call perfection. |

Obscura's debut album was also good, but Cosmogenesis just blows it out of the water. I would have just dismissed Obscura as 'another decent tech death band' if it weren't for Cosmogenesis. As for the new Necrophagist, Muhammad said to expect it around July - and they're using 7 string guitars this time. He also said to expect it to be much heavier and less melodic, not sure what to expect but I hope it's good. |

| I think it's probably cool to bump old topics just so you post something relating.
I like some tech death I'll try and find an album or so by these guys. |

| Gonna check out Cosmogenesis today, should be good. I heard they sound alot like Death, which is what got me interested. Although the Necrophagist comparissons worry me because they bore me. | |

Well they sound a hell of alot more like Necrophagist than they do like Death. 2 of their members are ex-Necrophagist, so it would make sense. |

| Well I think the main difference is that Obscura goes for catchiness over technicality, whereas Necrophagist is one of those bands that you have to be in the mood to concentrate on technical music to listen to. Much like Meshuggah, Gorguts, Ulcerate and the like. |

| I have their latest CD, but I found their first CD while I was out the other day. Didn't get it though, but apparently it's really good.
Can't wait to see them in a couple weeks with Black Dahlia Murder! | |

| Saw these guys open open up for Black Dahlia Murder last weekend. Problem was, all these little douche bags had come to see Black Dahlia. The crowd was somewhat appreciative of these guys, but not enough in my opinion. The second they finished Centric Flow as their last song, all these little douchey bags started chanting "Black Dahlia!" Pissed me right off. Kinda makes me not want to hear Black Dahlia ever egain. | |
